here i am sitting at work (finally got the internet back!!!) i have so much to catch up on and so little time to do it all. i have homework, soap notes, case histories, and studying to do and so little time to get it done ... my mind thinks in numbers ... what numbers?? well let me break these numbers down for you:
8 weeks ... are you understanding the enormity of this number??? it means i have 8 weeks left of being at the U clinic each and every day ... 8 weeks left of therapy at this clinic ... 8 weeks left of writing/editing soap notes ... and 8 weeks left of teaching my poor first years just what is expected of them ... i can't believe i am here ... i can't believe that it was in april 2010 that my life changed as i knew it ... it was in august 2010 i was fully starting to grasp the enormity of my decision to go back to school ... and it is in may 2012 that i will be walking with the best of friends a girl could ask for and we will be celebrating this major accomplishment together.
8 weeks left of classes and clinic and then it is off to the real world to work and learn more. i cannot wait for this moment to come and i cannot wait to experience life out side of the boring beige walls of the university of utah speech language and hearing clinic ... i will greatly miss the faces of those that have become my family and best friends ... i will greatly miss sharing the ins and outs of my life in great and probably to much detail with them ... and i will greatly miss the comfort of finally knowing what is expected of me.
7 exams ... that is it ... that is all i have left of my graduate school career is 7 exams including my praxis which i signed up for yesterday (march 10, 2012!) i can't believe this number is in single digits ... i never thought this number would ever make it to the single digit and here it is. it is scary, awesome, exhausting, and anything else you can think of to know that i have made it to the single digits of exams!
8 months ... this is how much time i have until i walk the red carpet of the university of utah and they give me my coveted hood and send me on my way to the real world and expect me to remember everything they taught me. i can't believe that in august 2010 i thought to myself 'if i make it to may 2012 alive and well it will be a miracle' and here i am just 8 short months away. i can't believe how fast this time in school has gone and i can't believe how much it has changed my life. i cannot wait to share this day in 8 short months with my friends, my family, and everyone who supported my decision to go back to school as married woman, with a child, a home, and husband it wasn't easy by any means but it will be so worth it in the end and i cannot wait for that end to come!
i cannot wait for all of this to come to an end ... i cannot wait to actually be making money instead of spending money and collecting debt ... i cannot wait to have my weekends!!!

:: Disneyland - 2011 ::
before we left the house ... girl was stoked!

we had such a great time showing diva all around the magical kingdom even B snapped out of his bad attitude and we had a great (full) day of fun!
::California - 2011::
Well ... we made the drive the Cali with 2 kiddos and 4 adults on friday august 10. we left at 5 pm and arrived in vegas at midnight! it was a fun first half drive and the kids were amazing. we only had one argument and it wasn't even a big one!
Saturday we left vegas at 8 am and arrived at our destination in oceanside, california at 1:30 pm ... we found our amazing beach house and then we found ... THE BEACH!
we had a great first couple days in cali ... jeremy couldn't come until monday evening so i was a single mom for 4 days and let me tell you it was rough but so much fun! we had a great time!
on our first night we walked the beach back from dinner and hunted for some awesome sea shells!

on our first real day/morning the kids and i woke up and went down to the beach for some exploring in our pjs. B caught a huge fish and was a happy camper the rest of the day!
diva was just happy to be out of the car!
our first beach day the crew below did some major boogie boarding while diva and i took a short (ok super long) nap!
The first night we went out to our very own camp fire and had some delicious s'mores ... dad was very tired!
the cookie s'mores were AMAZING!
before we left for california the 12 of us drew names for dinner crews and of course krystina, chelle, and i got stuck on a team together (the three who don't cook at all) the above pic is us getting ready to head to 2 different markets on our bikes to get the dinner stuff for an amazing dinner.
the below pic is what we decided to make for dinner! hahaha just kidding ... we did make salad, pasta, and garlic bread with cookies for dessert. it was amazing. we brought the banquet dinner back as a joke b/c everyone was pretty concerned with what we would be making!
i have taken like 500 pics of cali but lets face it .. no one want to see that many pics all at one time ... next up The Diva's first Disney experience!

:: Day of Love ::
happy wedding day (finally) to the Trout's (or as i like to call them the fell-trouts)
one of my great friends got married in PC over the weekend and the wedding was absolutely gorgeous.
i met jenn at school when i decided to go back and get my degree in CSD. i invited her and CT out for halloween 4 years ago because i knew they had just moved to UT and didn't know anyone. we all had a great time and became fast and (in my mind) best friends.
i have been waiting for this special day and it was so fun to meet all of their family and friends from iowa and minnesota (where they are from) as i have heard so much about all of them.
my husband loves all the pictures i take!

:: one week ::
one more week exactly and i will be looking at this view for 7 whole days.
spending some much needed time away from the books, the computer, the clinic, classes, and work and spending some much needed time with the fam and the friends of the fam that i grew up with. we are taking both the littles and i can't wait.
b is counting down the time and is so mad we still have 7 full days to wait but trust me when i tell you it will fly by and before we know it we will be beginning our adventure to beautiful oceanside california!
we have a fun week planned filled with exciting stuff and relaxing stuff and i can't wait to share it with everyone (or someone other than me who actually still reads this boring blog!)
here's to the fastest 7 days of my life!

:: 4th Grade Already ::
well b-money is officially a 4th grader as of 7/26/11!
i took him to school for his first day to make sure he knew where to line up and all that fun stuff. i was so excited he was going to let me take him but once those friends showed up he looked at me and told me i should leave. i am pretty sure i shed a little tear but i guess that is what i get from a 4th grader!

:: wonderments ::
as i sit here at work B - O - R - E - D out of my mind i start to have some general wonderments about life
why do people take the time to post something on FB just to delete it once people start asking questions?
why do people post stuff on FB that make people as questions and then don't respond to said questions?
why can i not cook? i want to cook, i love food but i SUCK at cooking
why have i all the sudden had an aversion to CAPITAL letters unless caps lock is on?
why do i have to work AND go to school?
why have i not been camping in 2 years?
i am sure there are more wonderments, however, my brain is officially fried and i am done thinking!
