::Catch up Time::

Well, I gave up on blogging while I was in school mainly because I felt so busy and any time I did spend on the computer was doing homework, research, typing notes, homework. research ... well you get the idea I am sure. The first semester went by so quickly I can’t believe it is already over. I thought this 2 years would go by so slow and drag on but here we are in December and getting ready for my second semester. I love grad school, I love what I am learning, I love the people I go to school with, I love clinic, I mostly love my professors ... however, I hate how intense it is, I hate how much time is involved, I hate all the homework, I hate all the studying, and I hate being away from my little family. I can say with 100% certainty thought that

I love it more than I hate it.

When I applied to grad school and got in I was just so excited that I failed to read thru all my paperwork, I failed to fully understand exactly what was expected of me. In grad school there is this word the professors use on a regular basis .. this word is “REMEDIATION” .. big word - yes, scary word - absolutely! In grad school if you get below 80% on ANYTHING you have to re-do it. Homework - redo, Test - re-take, you get the idea. Let me tell you everything in grad school took me at least 3 hours to complete so you can imagine one would not want to re-do or re-take anything. Well this word pretty much gave me a heart attack each time I had an assignment or a test. I took my last final on Thursday December 16th and I am having mild heart palpitations everyday waiting and waiting to see my grades. One thing about grad school is there is no relief until you have the grade in front of you that you can see and look at and is something tangible that you can use as proof that you know and understand what you are talking about. So until this Friday December 24th I anticipate being overwhelmed, stressed out, and praying I don’t have a heart attack before then!

I don’t think we have really been doing anything since I started school but let’s try to back up to September and see what we have:

SEPTEMBER:

My beautiful cousin Deveree got married to a wonderful man named Lucas and they are going to live happily ever after. The got married at The Canyons resort in Park City, Utah and it was a gorgeous wedding! We got hotel rooms and got to spend the weekend up there hanging with our family, shopping, eating, and having a great time. It was a fun little break from real life!

September 12th was this wonderful man’s birthday

pastedGraphic_2.pdf

he is my hero and I couldn’t imagine my world without him in it. I can’t remember back that far to what we actually did to celebrate his big day but I am sure we did something fun!

September is also Fair time which I love! We took B and Kira to the Utah State Fair and had a great time, we saw seals, rode the big yellow slide, bought some Fair food, and did some great fair shopping! Of course I didn’t have my camera at the fair so you only get to look at my words!

September was also the start of Utah Football! We had season tickets this year and had a great time at all the games!

OCTOBER:

Nothing exciting happened in October that I can remember. I had a much needed Fall break from school that was spent studying for two tests. Our good friends Josh and Danielle came in from St. Louis and stayed with us which was fun to have some company for a week. Halloween came and went and B had a great time. Jeremy and I went out and watched the Utah game that played on Halloween and B hung with his mom and sister and went trick or treating.

NOVEMBER:

November was pretty much the same as October. It came and went and I have no idea what we did or what happened. I do know Jeremy and I decided to go watch the Utes play against the Fighting Irish in Southbend Indiana! We flew into St. Louis and met with Josh and Danielle, from there we drove to Chicago and hung there for the night (such a fun place by the way I love it there and can’t wait to go back and spend a whole weekend there exploring the awesome city!) Saturday November 13th we drove to Southbend Indiana and unfortunately our Utes lost but it was still such a fun weekend with a much needed break from school!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days because Jeremy’s mom makes the best mashed potatoes and gravy ever. I don’t what she does or how she does it but they are amazing and I love going to her house every year for dinner!

Black Friday is my favorite holiday! I love it! Chelle and I started at 10:30 pm on Thanksgiving day at Walmart ... people there are crazy and ruthless and it wouldn’t be Black Friday without a little attitude from other women! Once we got our midnight specials we headed over to Old Navy for some new clothes and long lines! We never really have something to go out for but we always have to go out, it’s just who we are! After Old Navy we headed off to Kmart for some much needed items for B-money’s Christmas fun and then to Smith’s Marketplace for our annual sock run! Nothing to fun and exciting but we sure love it!

The end of November brought more tests and some papers to finish but it also meant 3 more weeks of school and then I was free .. I had a count down for sure!

DECEMBER:

This month was uneventful until December 16, 2010 as I was studying for finals and finishing presentations and papers and homework.

Bryson started Jr. Jazz and has been so good this year. He is running hard and fast, fighting for the ball, and he even hip checked a kid that stole the ball from him! I am so proud to call him my step son after I saw the hip check!!!

pastedGraphic_17.pdf

My aunt Wendey came into town for a pre-Christmas weekend and we had so much fun hanging out with her for a bit! I love being with my family they make me laugh all the time and I just love them to pieces!

I finished up my finals and got thru my first semester of grad school in one piece which was good! Once finals were over I finally started Christmas shopping. I haven’t been able to get in the Christmas spirit because I have been out fighting traffic, going to the mall, and trying to find the perfect gifts for everyone (which is impossible by the way!) We did attend Zoo Lights with Jeremy’s family and it was so much fun to actually see Christmas lights and spend time with his family!

pastedGraphic_18.pdf pastedGraphic_19.pdf

It is now 2 days before Christmas and I think all the gifts are bought and wrapped and we are finally ready for the holiday to come! We have a big Bowles’ family party Thursday, Christmas eve movie and dinner Friday, and Santa day on Saturday! B is so excited and it is so much fun having a kid around during this magical holiday! One day we will have more kiddies running around with excitement for this day but for now it is just the three of us and Marley (the dog) to enjoy our holiday’s together!

B’s birthday is Monday December 27th and he will be 9 years old ... are you kidding me?? I can’t believe he is that old it seems like just yesterday he looked like this ...

pastedGraphic_20.pdf

and now he is in 3rd grade, he will be 9 years old, and he likes girls and has a different girl friend every week! He is so big and we love him so much!

Since that is all I can remember I would officially say we are caught up on the blog and maybe just maybe I can figure out to spend a few minutes of my time to blog about the nothing that we do!

Hope everyone has a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It has literally flown by since I started and I can't believe I am 1 month down and only 17 more to go! ::A Third Grader ... REALLY??::

I can't believe that B is already in third grade. He is getting so big ... pretty soon there will be a picture of him going off to college :(

He has Miss Stout for third grade C track and he was very excited to have a Miss and not a Mrs ... he thinks a Miss will be nicer than a Mrs so we shall see!

GOOD LUCK IN 3rd GRADE B YOU ROCK!!!!

::Marley::

I swear we have the only dog around that doesn't know how to swim!

::Summer o Fun 2010::

So far our summer has been full of fun times! We've done nothing but lay around in the pool with our family and friends and nothing could be better. B is rarely ever still enough for me to capture a picture but for some reason this day he was!We took Marley on a small 4.5 mile hike up Millcreek to Dog Lake ... it was rough but he sure loved making it and playing in the lake.I think we have the only dog that can't really swim ... he pretty much drowns himself and his butt sinks in the water!
We have also gone to some Bees games which is something we really love!

::4th of July Weekend::

I love 3 day weekends!

We went to Oakley for our yearly traditional Oakley Rodeo but this year my uncle Dennis allowed us use of his cabin so we could spend the whole weekend up there!

We left Friday evening after work and headed to Oakley, once we got to the cabin we found a trampoline and me, Chelle, and B had a great time jumping and trying (and failing in my case) to do all those fun tricks we used to do as kids!
The pic above is me trying to "high bounce" B we struggled at first but we finally got it and he flew! The pic below is my silly sister and her static hair from all her fun on the tramp!After our night of fun on the tramp we woke up Saturday morning and went on a very long very fun 4 wheeler ride! I rode on the back of Jeremy and everyone else had their own machines. B was amazing at riding his machine that kid is a natural!
Just some fun times during the ride, probably dangerous but who cares it was just us on the trail!
Every year around this time we head up to Oakley for the wonderfully fabulous Oakley Rodeo. We have a BBQ with some peeps my dad knows and then walk to the rodeo for some good times. The Oakley rodeo is on the pro circuit so it is one AMAZING rodeo. These men and women do a phenominal job at their profession. Here is Jeremy and I having some Rodeo fun (the kid in the background is part of our large group of people he was funny!)
Here is me and B havin some Rodeo fun, his favorite part is the bull riding.
Here is the rodeo clown, now normally I love these guys and find them pretty funny but this clown really struggled and WAS NOT at all entertaining. There were points I was hoping he just wouldn't talk. The pic below is the only thing that B and I found funny, he came out with antlers on his horse and i am not sure if it was boredom or what but B and i could not stop laughing at this poor horse!After the rodeo we got back to the cabin and discovered that the trap B had set earlier in the day had a little friend waiting for us. He was pretty cute and we let him go back to his little family. B also caught another one the next morning, he was in heaven with the fact that the trap actually worked!And I always get one of these lovely pics with B on our way home from any vacation. He always always ALWAYS runs his poor little body ragged and sleeps very little while having fun on vacation so this is how we find him shortly after we hit the road. I think his record is the truck starts to go home and he is out. Silly kid!
We got home Sunday the 4th and took much needed showers, headed to OG for some delicious dinner and then we went and saw the movie Grown Ups (if you haven't seen it DON'T) after the movie we headed back to our place to light our fireworks. I have no pictures because Utah fireworks are boring and the fact that we spent $30 for 10 minutes of mini explosions (if you can call them that) pissed me off so I had a bad attitude and wouldn't take any pictures.
On Monday the 5th we all had the day off work so B, Chull and I went to the first showing of Eclipse, SOOO GOOD BTW, and then we headed to my parents for some swimming and relaxing time! It was a fun and very relaxing holiday which is what I love about three day weekends! I hope all of you guys enjoyed your holidays too!

::Mariners 2010: 14-0::

(This is a picture of a picture so sorry it kinda sucks!)
Here is the Mariners team picture 2010. Aren't they all so cute!
Well, 2010 Baseball season for the PeeWee 8 Mariners is offically over and we are very sad about this! We had a great season and met some great people.

Our boys did AWESOME this season ... they went undefeated 14-0 against some awesome teams! Our coaches this year (same as last) were amazing and the support that parents, grandparents, friends, brother's, and sister's gave these boys was amazing. Our stands were always packed with people cheering them on!

During this season B had some great times and some not so great times!

This picture below kinda sucks but during one game B was playing second base and our catcher threw him the ball to get a stealer out ... well instead of going into his mitt the ball bounced out and hit him right in the lip and B had the fattest lip I have ever seen!

He wouldn't let me take a picture of his mouth right when it happend so this picture is 2 days after, the swelling went down a ton but you should have seen it the day it happened and 1 day after it was HUGE!
(He made me promise not to post the pic on FB but he said nothing about the Blog!)
Here is a pic of one of B's GREAT moments! His coach let him take a chance at pitching an inning and he did awesome! He had 3 batters up ... he struck out 2 of them and his team backed him up to get the other player out at first! He was on cloud 9 for at least a week after he pitched, he loved it so much and he was amazing!
Here are the Mariners after their final game! They were all so happy about going undefeated this season!

Here they are right after the big win! I think it took some of them a second to realize they did actually win! Here they are after receiving their FIRST PLACE trophy'sHere is B with his FIRST PLACE trophy. (He actually was really happy I promise!)And here is his cute photo (again picture of a picture sorry for the poor quaility)

GREAT SEASON MARINERS YOU BOYS ROCK!

::3 Years .. Really?::

June 9, 2010 Jeremy and I hit our 3 year wedding anniversary ... All day long I kept thinking "Wow it feels like so much longer" (Not in a bad way!) and then I realized we've been together for 7 years so technically it has been longer I guess!
Here we are in April 2007 getting our engagement pics done .. I think Jeremy looks so crazy with his hair now that he shaves his head!
Here we are on our Wedding night ... still THE funnest night of my life and I wish it was totally appropriate to go back and do it all over again!
And this is just 1 of the major accomplishments we accomplished together in the past 3 years!
We had a great Anniversary .. I wish it was appropriate to take a full day off work when it is your wedding anniversary but it really isn't, oh well! I told Jeremy he had to plan our dinner adventure all by himself and I wanted to be totally surprised ... I kept asking for mini hints and he kept telling me "Just make sure you wear something that you can get BBQ sauce on, It's a place we've never been, etc, etc" just to throw me off .. I secretly had a place in mind that I wanted to go but I wasn't going to give him any hints I was hoping the 3 years of hints I have given him would have been enough! Well we ended up at ....
THE MELTING POT!!!!
This was the place I had a secret desire for! Niether of us had ever been and I heard the dessert was well worth it. We had a great time ... I really did enjoy cooking my own food and just hanging out with Jeremy, of course the best part of the evening was when they brought out our very own fondue pot of chocolate and all the dippers we could enjoy! I would highly recommend going there for at least the dessert portion. Dinner was good but kind of expensive for what you get, but it was our anniversary so you have to spend a little extra on a special day!
Happy 3 years babe thanks for a great night out!
