::Seeing Santa::

We took Bryson to see Santa at South Towne mall on Saturday afternoon. He seemed to like it but didn't really say much about it. I hope he had a good time. We weren't able to get a picture with him and Santa on our camera b/c they have policies against that, but I will try to get the picture they took scanned in and uploaded but for now here is a picture of him standing in line!

Merry Christmas to all and FYI the mall is already out of control busy so good luck with your Christmas shopping.

::The Jazz Game::

For Jeremy's birthday Bryson and I took him to the Jazz game on Saturday vs. the New Jersey Nets. We had a good time there even though the Jazz pretty much sucked it up and lost it was still a fun time. This is a small tradition that I have done every year for Jeremy since we have been together. He is a HUGE Jazz fan and I love that every year we have this small Sutherland tradition to look forward to on or near November 27!

We are crazy

So much fun at the game!

::My favorite day of the year::

I love love love black friday. Now I know some of you are reading this and thinking that I am a total nut but let me tell you I have scored some major deals by waking up at 3 am to fight the crowds.

This year though I am sad to say I had to work at 5 am and literally fight the crowds as an employee. It was awful but fun all at the same time. I was SO sad not to get to go shopping with my mom and sister but don't worry I made a list of stuff for them to get me and they didn't let me down!

On a different note:
Since we had such a relaxing Thanksgiving b/c it was Jeremy's birthday I ended up getting all of my inside Christmas decorating up. I have pictures and I will post them later but I loved having our own home to decorate.

Jeremy and I have been together for about 6 years now and every year his mom has given me a nutcracker so that I can have a collection like her's and I have NEVER been able to display them b/c I never had anywhere to display them. Well let me tell you this year they are out in full force and I love it.

Also, I have to share this with you all (and Jeremy thinks I am totally nuts) but we have 2, yes 2 full sized Christmas trees up at our house. One is a huge green one that we will put our presents under and the other one is a medium sized white one that I have a Chirstmas village under. The village is what my mom has given me to put together and that is my favorite part about Christmas is putting up the White Christmas tree with the villiage.
Well, I hope you all had a wonderful "Black Friday"

::Happy Birthday Jeremy::

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMY!!
Today is Jeremy's 29th birthday and to have to celebrate his birthday on Thanksgiving pretty much sucked for him because he hates, yes I said hates, Thanksgiving. But I told him today was his day first and Thanksgiving second and we would do what ever he wanted to do, so he opened presents and then layed on the couch all day until it was time to go to his mom's to eat dinner!! So I just wanted to take a sec and tell him how much I love him and respect him, to tell him how great of a husband and father he is and I couldn't imagine my life with out him in it!
So here's to you today Jerm's hope it was everything you wanted it to be!

::12-0 ... BCS ... Sugar Bowl::

Gotta love the Utes baby. This was the BEST game of the whole season (and yes I have been to every home game including the camp out for these coveted tickets.)

I was so stressed out that our wonderful Utes were going to have a repeat of the last 2 years, but our boys pulled it off and are taking us to the Sugar Bowl (not fully decided but we are pretty positive.)

Jeremy, Josh, Mikey, and I all attended this game and had a great time. It was so much fun to be there amoung the true Ute fans. Even if they don't show up for any games except this one, this is the one they needed to be at.
This picture to the right is how the game started out. Utah vs. BYU on the field before the first kick off. This is how serious this brawl is to everyone including the players.
This picture to the left is of most of the people that rushed the field after the game. I stole this pic from my cousin b/c Jeremy and I were down on the field and I forgot my camera. It was awesome to be down there amoung the players and to watch Brian Johnson get our trophy for Mountain West Conference. What a game this was to be at. Wouldn't have missed it for the world. Hope if you didn't attend the game that you at least watched it somewhere.
GO UTES

::Twilight::

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT. I went into this movie very skeptical because I thought the trailors and the previews looked so dumb and didn't even go with the book at all, but boy was I wrong. It was so good and I thought things went pretty well with the book. I would totally see this movie again and it made me want to read the book all over again!

Every one needs to go watch this movie you will love it I know it.

::Girls in my Circle::

I got this in an e-mail and loved it so I wanted to post it here to b/c I consider all of you (who ever reads this blog!) part of my circle and love you all!

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

When I was little,
I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.
And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up, God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.
Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities.
Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'
Another, 'Let's fight together,'
Another, 'Let's walk away together.'

One friend will meet your spiritual need,
Another your shoe fetish,
Another your love for movies,
Another will be with you in your season of confusion,
Another will be your clarifier,
Another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life,
On whatever the occasion,
On whatever the day,
Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back,
Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself .
Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several..
One from 7th grade,
One from high school,
Several from the college years,
a couple from old jobs,
On some days your mother,
On some days your neighbor,
On others, your sisters,
And on some days, your daughters.

::Bryson and Kira::

So we had such a fun night last night. Bryson's mom let me watch her super cute (almost) 2 year old Kira. It is always so fun to have her with us and watch her and Bryson play together. They are going to be best friends (well they already pretty much are!!) I just love watching her and we always have fun when she is with us.

Last night we just went to dinner with my mom and then came home and watched Kung Fu Panda (love that movie). Her and Bryson played some computer games and at one point Bryson brought Sherman (the lizard) out to play with us and Kira LOVED it. (That's right Chan you may have to buy a reptile since both kids love them, ha ha ha). She was so funny with the lizard, Bryson was holding him so carefully (something to understand is Sherman is Bryson's baby, Bryson always says to me "I am Sherman's dad and I need to take care of him.") so needless to say he is very protective of Sherman, well Kira was squeezing him, laughing, holding him by his head, and just thinking the whole thing was so funny. I was laughing so hard b/c Bryson has this major look of panic on his face like "OMG she is going to kill him" after that Bryson took Sherman upstairs and put him away and told Kira he wasn't ever coming out again when she was around, it was so funny.

All in all we had such a fun night spending some time with Kira and can't wait till she can come back to visit us! (Hint hint Chan!)

Thanks to Kira for coming to play and for her mom for letting her. To see Bryson and his cute sister go to Chandra, Bryson and Kira blog (hope you don't mind Chandra!)

::The Campout::

Well, it's official Jeremy and I are CRAZY! We camped out at the University for the UTAH vs. BYU game tickets. Jeremy got up to the stadium at about noon on Friday, I got up there after work about 6 pm with dinner and we hung out with other crazy Ute fans for tickets. The good news is we did get our tickets and also got tickets for Jeremy's best friend Josh who will be coming in from St. Louis for the game and Josh's brother Mikey.

It will be a great time for all! If anyone wants to join out tailgate party we will be at the U on Saturday November 22, 2008 at noon for some food, drinks, fun and then the game at 4!

GO UTAH!! BCS HERE WE COME

Jeremy setting up our camp
Here was our Friday night haven!
It was freezing...

...for both of us

But this was our life saver!

Here we are at 5 am, just woke up and looking so HOTT!

Here we are at 8 am waiting for our turn to get tickets, it took us about an hour once the ticket office opened at 8 to get our tickets.

I don't know that I would do this again (Jeremy says in 2 years I will be, but I say in 2 years we BETTER have season tickets) but it was a very fun adventure!

::The Blackout::

So, The Utes pulled it off last night. I can't believe it! I was so happy and so excited at the end of the game that they did win. During the game I hated them all and was so pissed off thinking they were throwing their winning streak away on a team that also beat BYU, we couldn't let that happen!

It was a great game (at the end) and so much fun. It was so cold and that was the only problem with the game. It was awesome to see 45,666 Ute fans in all black, you should have seen the stadium it looked awesome.

BYU here we come!

In case you are wondering that is what I will be doing tonight. I will be off work at 3:30 pm and I will be heading up to the stadium to meet Jeremy to get our BYU tickets, yes we are camping out until 8 am Saturday morning wish me luck!!!

I will keep you posted on the quest for tickets just wanted you all to know the Utes are still undefeated 10-0!!!!

::Marley::

Well, when I was putting our Halloween pics on our computer I had taken some of our little Marley and realized that he is not so little any more.

The first picture is of him the first day we brought him home on August 2nd and the 2nd picture is of him on Halloween day October 31st

*A small side note about his costume, we registered him with the American Kennel Club and his full name is Boxcar (for his dad) Bob Marley so we dressed him up as Bob Marley for Halloween! He sure did hate this hat.

::Our Halloween::

Well, our Halloween was uneventful but fun! We started our morning at Bryson's school taking his class their Halloween treats and then waiting to watch his parade. It was really fun to see all the fun costumes that kids and parents come up with!
Later that day we picked him up and went to Jeremy's parents house so that they could see Bryson's costume and we could chat with them for a little while. It was fun to see them and spend some time with them. We sent Bryson up to their house alone to pretend to be just any trick or treater and he scared Jeremy's mom to death! He had a good time!

We then headed over to my parents and he did a little bit of trick or treating there. When I say a little bit I mean we went to 6 houses and he was done, all he wanted to do was go back to my parents and watch TV. Ha ha ha I think he is the only kid on Halloween that wanted to watch TV. Once we were done at my parents Jeremy took Bryson to meet his mom and we had the rest of the night to ourselves! We went out to dinner with my family to TGI Friday's and we decided this was the only Friday night ever that we could go to dinner at 7:30 pm and not have to wait. It was fun! After dinner we just headed home and hung out.

On Saturday I was so over Halloween I made Jeremy help me take down all the Halloween decorations and lights so that we can move on! I am waiting for November 28th so that I can put up all of my Christmas stuff. We have so many Christmas decorations and I can't wait to use them all.

Well, that was our uneventful night!!!
